My sculptures are built from a durable concrete mix designed to withstand all weather conditions. The joining sections, are steel dovetail brackets set into the concrete. When permanently installed, these brackets are welded together creating a strong and profound piece.

This work is a commentary on society and culture. My process and materials are a response to the loss of our natural world and the influence of current technology. I begin with hand built, custom fit compound brackets. These brackets are contained by a wax form. The interior of the wax will ultimately reveal the exterior of the sculpture. The forms are then loaded with concrete. Opposition is importnat when understanding the intellectual value of these sculptures. The wax, like the concrete begin as a liquid and become solid. The wax mold I create is a negative space that will reveal the positive sculpture.
